Camp Cooking Challenge

Allez cuisine!

While providing a delicious and nutritious meal under budget is hard enough, try doing it outdoors, in the cold and rain with cast iron and raw fire. The patrols of Troops 734 and 7734 face off to test their Scouting camp cooking skills.

Scoutmaster's Top Ten:

10. Teamwork - The Scouts ALL did their part to make the meal come out awesome. Proud of the Patrols and their effort.

9.    Free tIme - Everyone got out and got to play in the woods this weekend. Foraging, creek crossing, and just having fun. (You don't get that playing video games!!)

8.    Sounds of nature - we heard plenty of nature this weekend. Wood Peckers, owls, and a turkey that woke the Scout Master up Sun. morning. Gobble! Gobble!!

7.    Great international flavors on the menu this weekend. It's like we were on a trip around the world. Super. Good. Food.

6.    Waking up in the rain Saturday morning. Good thing the Scouts got the dinning fly up Friday night!!

5.    Boy, that Camp Master can talk your ear off. Friendly Gus.

4.    German Breakfast cake. OMG - Jamie/Liam, can I have that recipe???

3.    Watching the new Scouts (3 months in) flying around the camp stove to help cook meals. That was great to see.

2.    734 & 7734 really interacted well together through the weekend. Wehad no issues and we made new friends. Great to see that!

1.   Watch out for the flying stick! Is there a Doctor in the house??
